Cordova Skating Center

As a casual skater that goes here basically every weekend I definitely recommend going - Weekends are most busy. - Weekdays are usually more quiet. - Entry prices are reasonable - No you don’t have to pay if you don’t plan/want to skate - Clean environment most the times (if the customers are clean enough 😅) - And overall a good vibe. Tips to avoid injury - Ensure you are skating in a counter clockwise motion at all times on the floor - Watch out for people when deciding to enter/exit the floor - When tumbling over, please get up asap or someone WILL trip on you - Don’t bring drinks/food on the floor, makes it hazardous for everyone - Carrying your child on the floor will most likely end in someone bumping into you causing you & your child to fall down, so if you want to have fun with you children just hold their hands while you skate with them 👍 - Don’t sit on the walls or stand in one spot, there will be times where someone is going too fast to stop, staying in motion gives you a better chance of not being ran over ! 😅 Finally the only other thing I will say is to make sure you are watching out for children and less experienced skaters roaming the rinks floor incorrectly, they can be a hassle to get around sometimes 👍 Enjoy your visit to Cordova’s Local rink 😁

The food is great and the atmosphere is so good! They are always willing to help with anything you need. The only thing I don't like is the music. Some of the music I like. I mean, I do love and respect how they are open to all types of music but some of music makes me wanna sit down. I love get my groove on. I can't get my groove on to Miley Cyrus, no disrespect! 🤣 I would love to hear more Al Green, Brandy, Marvin Gaye, and more other back in the day artists. ❤️

Didn't know about this place in Cordova and once learned was very sceptical about it. Turned out it's not a bad place. We couldn't get that "Kids skate free" reservation on the website but the girl at the counter was kind enough to give us some sort of promotion ($8 for both kids). Can be a bit scary and even dangerous for a beginner, as the skaters just rush on the rink. However we didn't see any bad accidents and people seemed to be really enjoying the place, just like our kids. Although my 7 year-old had it for the first time. They have a couple of security guys at the entrance who also help with token machine if needed. Overall, we had a pretty good impression about the place and will be back at some point

Very few people, almost no one, including the staff, although very nice, even the staff skating on the floor, were not wearing masks other than hanging off their ears. They would make repeated recorded announcements that it was mandatory over the intercom, but made no attempt to enforce it or use masks themselves even when customers approached. Can’t share the video, so had to provide screenshots. I loved bringing my son here before Covid and when it was under previous management. Guess we’ll wait a while to go back.
